Job Description

The ITI Fitter is responsible for

mechanical installation, preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and alignment

of machinery used in the

animal feed pellet mill and boiler section

, ensuring smooth, safe, and continuous plant operations.

Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesPellet Mill & Feed Plant Equipment

Mechanical maintenance of

pellet mills, hammer mills, mixers, conditioners, coolers, crumblers, conveyors, bucket elevators, and bagging machines

. Perform

installation, dismantling, overhauling, and assembly

of mechanical equipment. Carry out

die & roller replacement, adjustment, and alignment

in pellet mills. Inspect and maintain

shafts, couplings, belts, chains, sprockets, and gearboxes

. Lubrication of machinery as per schedule.

Boiler & Utility Equipment

Mechanical maintenance of

boilers, thermic fluid heaters, steam lines, valves, traps, pumps, and blowers

. Assist in

boiler shutdown/startup maintenance activities

. Ensure proper functioning of

safety valves, pressure gauges, and mechanical interlocks

. Coordinate with boiler operator and electrician during maintenance.

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

Perform

preventive maintenance (PM)

to avoid unexpected breakdowns. Attend

breakdown maintenance

and minimize downtime. Identify root cause of mechanical failures and suggest corrective actions. Maintain

maintenance records and spare usage logs

.

Fabrication & Alignment Work

Carry out

basic fabrication work

(cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting). Perform

shaft alignment, leveling, and balancing

of rotating equipment. Assist in erection and commissioning of new machinery.

Safety & Compliance

Follow

plant safety rules, PPE usage, and LOTO procedures

. Ensure safe working conditions during maintenance activities. Maintain good housekeeping in mechanical areas.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of

industrial mechanical maintenance

Hands-on experience with

pellet mill machinery

Knowledge of

gearboxes, bearings, seals, and lubrication systems

Ability to read

mechanical drawings

Basic understanding of

hydraulics and pneumatics

Good troubleshooting and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience

Animal feed / poultry feed / cattle feed plant Pellet mill or continuous process industry Boiler mechanical systems experience

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
