The LV Panel Wiring Technician will be responsible for the installation, wiring, and maintenance of low voltage electrical panels. This includes ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of electrical power within commercial, industrial, or residential systems.
Key Responsibilities
:
Panel Wiring Installation
: Install and wire LV panels (distribution boards, circuit breakers, busbars) based on electrical drawings and specifications.
Component Mounting
: Mount and secure electrical components within the panel such as MCCBs (Molded Case Circuit Breakers), relays, timers, and busbars.
Conduct Testing
: Perform insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, and other necessary checks to ensure the panel meets safety standards and operational requirements.
Troubleshooting
: Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring issues, faults, or discrepancies in LV panels.
Maintain Documentation
: Record panel wiring details, including materials used, configurations, and any modifications for future reference.
Ensure Safety Compliance
: Ensure all installations comply with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with Engineers
: Work closely with electrical engineers to align wiring systems with the overall design of the electrical system.
Panel Commissioning
: Perform final checks, commissioning of the panel, and ensure it operates as per the electrical design parameters.
Preventive Maintenance
: Assist in the preventive maintenance of electrical panels and systems to prevent malfunctions.
