Roles and Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, switches, circuit breakers, and distribution panels. Set up temporary electrical connections for construction sites as per project requirements. Test and commission electrical systems to ensure proper functionality.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all work complies with Indian electrical standards and safety guidelines. Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential electrical hazards. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety protocols.

Project Support:

Collaborate with site engineers and supervisors to execute electrical works as per project timelines. Assist in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Provide support in electrical system design and modifications as required.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including faults in circuits, equipment, and machinery. Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime on construction equipment.

Material Management:

Maintain an inventory of electrical tools, equipment, and spare parts. Ensure proper use and storage of materials to avoid wastage or damage.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain records of electrical works, including installations, repairs, and inspections. Report progress and challenges to the project manager or site supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Electrician Trade.

Experience:

2-8 years (Experience in civil construction projects preferred).

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and tools. Familiarity with single-phase and three-phase systems. Proficiency in using testing equipment like multimeters and insulation testers.

Soft Skills:

Good communication and teamwork abilities. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Adaptability to work in varied and challenging environments.

Key Requirements:

Willingness to work at construction sites across different locations in India. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations applicable in India. Physical fitness for handling electrical installations in demanding conditions.
