Information Technology (IT) trainers are responsible for developing and implementing technology-related educational sessions for their organization, clients, or end-users. They are responsible for training IT staff and end users on the proper operation of computer equipment, hardware devices, and software applications. They are also responsible for providing training/instructions on how to troubleshoot system applications to increase productivity and minimize downtime. They also apply their expertise in determining training and learning needs for new and current employees. The IT trainer job description also involves planning, coordinating, and implementing learning classes and activities to front line employees. It also entails organizing various training sessions for all new employees and providing tests to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. They are also responsible for facilitating courses offered by content experts professionally.
