Maintain and troubleshoot desktops, PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals across the campus, particularly in labs and staff offices.
Provide timely first-level support for network connectivity issues, hardware, and software malfunctions.
Assist in maintaining LAN infrastructure--cables, switches, routers--and ensure consistent connectivity.
Server & Network Management
Support upkeep of campus servers, scheduled backups, user account management, and permissions.
Help implement and monitor firewall configurations and basic network security measures.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network or server-related issues proactively.
IT Asset Management
Track and manage inventory of IT hardware and consumables.
Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure topology, system configurations, and setup procedures.
User Support & Training
Conduct orientation or quick briefings for faculty and staff on using lab resources (like integrated server in labs).
Manage support tickets efficiently and coordinate with senior IT staff for escalations.
Policy & Compliance
Ensure adherence to data security and privacy policies per university standards.
Assist in routine software patching and updates to ensure system integrity.
