Roles & Responsibilities of an IT Systems & Security Administrator1. Systems Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Linux, Windows, and macOS systems.
Manage servers (on-premise and cloud), user workstations, and IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
Apply regular patches, updates, and upgrades across operating systems.
Manage Active Directory, group policies, and user access across platforms.
2. Network & Infrastructure Management
Configure and maintain network devices (firewalls, routers, switches, VPN).
Ensure secure connectivity for remote and in-office users.
Troubleshoot network issues and ensure high uptime.
Oversee Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, and VPN solutions.
3. Security & Compliance (SOC 2 Focus)
Implement and monitor security controls aligned with SOC 2 requirements.
Manage endpoint security, antivirus, and device encryption.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediate findings.
Enforce identity and access management (IAM) best practices.
Monitor logs and alerts for potential security threats.
Support internal/external audits by providing evidence and documentation.
Ensure policies (passwords, MFA, backups, data retention) are enforced.
4. Data Protection & Backup
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery processes.
Test restoration procedures regularly.
Ensure sensitive data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
5. User Support & Training
Act as first-line IT support for employees across platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS).
Onboard/offboard users, including device setup and access provisioning.
Train employees on security awareness and IT best practices.
6. Documentation & Policy Management
Maintain IT documentation (network diagrams, system inventory, procedures).
Create and enforce IT and security policies aligned with SOC 2 controls.
Track and manage software licenses, certificates, and renewals.
7. Vendor & Tool Management
Evaluate, implement, and manage IT/security tools (monitoring, SIEM, patching).
Work with vendors for support, renewals, and incident handling.
8. Continuous Improvement & Scalability
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
Research and recommend cost-effective IT and security solutions.
Support IT scalability as the company grows.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
