Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our company's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a technical problem-solver responsible for the health, configuration, and security of our servers, network, and hosting environments. You will ensure our systems run efficiently, are protected from threats, and support the needs of our business and users.

Key Responsibilities

System & Server Management:

Install, configure, and maintain both Windows and Linux operating systems. Perform system monitoring, analyze performance, and troubleshoot server hardware and software issues. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across all systems. Plan and execute system updates, patches, and upgrades.

Networking & Firewall Administration:

Configure and manage network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Implement and enforce network security policies and firewall rules. Monitor network traffic and connectivity to ensure optimal performance and security. Troubleshoot network outages and performance bottlenecks.

Hosting & Environments:

Manage and maintain our hosting environments, including on-premise servers and cloud platforms. Oversee web server configuration, domain management, and SSL certificates. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery protocols are in place for critical systems.

Hardware & Software:

Install, configure, and support a wide range of software applications. Manage hardware assets, including servers, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and networking devices. Diagnose hardware failures and coordinate repairs or replacements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of operating systems:

Expertise in both Windows Server and Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).

Solid networking fundamentals:

Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Hands-on firewall experience:

Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, pfSense).

Hardware proficiency:

Ability to install, diagnose, and troubleshoot server hardware and components.

Software installation & configuration:

Demonstrated ability to deploy and manage various software applications and services.

Hosting knowledge:

Familiarity with web hosting control panels (e.g., cPanel, Plesk) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate). Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
