The IT Support Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all IT administration and support tasks across the organization. This role includes procurement and configuration of IT assets, user account management, mobile SIM administration, and providing technical support to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The manager will act as the central point of contact for all IT support activities, ensuring adherence to IT policies and efficient resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
IT Asset Management
Manage procurement, allocation, and inventory of laptops, desktops, and other IT equipment.
Ensure timely installation, setup, and configuration of systems for new employees.
Maintain records of IT assets and track lifecycle, warranty, and AMC details.
User Account & Email Management
Create, configure, and manage employee email IDs, distribution lists, and access rights.
Maintain user access policies in compliance with company standards.
Telecom & SIM Card Management
Oversee procurement and issuance of corporate SIM cards and mobile devices.
Track usage, billing, and resolve telecom-related issues.
IT Support & Troubleshooting
Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for timely resolution of escalated issues.
Conduct routine system checks, upgrades, and security patches.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date documentation for IT processes, user guides, and IT policies.
Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection standards.
Assist in audits and reporting of IT assets and licenses.
Team & Vendor Management
Supervise IT support staff (if applicable) and ensure SLA adherence.
Liaise with external vendors for procurement, AMC, and IT service contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in IT support/administration, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS setup, troubleshooting, and system administration.
Hands-on experience with Office 365 / Google Workspace email administration.
Familiarity with telecom and SIM card management processes.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and vendor management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with IT asset management tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity basics and data protection practices.
ITIL certification or similar will be an added advantage.
