Let\'s talk about the role and the team: The Information Technology Support Specialist performs analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning and installation of new and existing personal devices and workstations. Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents, confers with end users to determine types of hardware and software required, installs new hardware and software and maintains existing components, trains end users in the use of equipment and software, performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots and resolves issues with user devices and peripheral equipments located throughout the organization, prepares progress reports for all work performed. Evaluates products for compatibility, expandability, and ease of use and support, recommends to management the support or non-support of evaluated products.

Ensure technical issues are resolved efficiently so our operations run smoothly. This role is a great opportunity for a dynamic problem-solver who loves helping people and takes pride in providing high-quality support. Responsibilities not limited to include:

  • Set up new equipment and devices; set up and maintain workstations; provide appropriate access to applications, systems, and data
  • Provide 1st level customer service and technical support to end-users for hardware and software
  • Analyse, research, and resolve end-user escalation incidents or issues
  • Install, configure, and test installed hardware and software on new or existing devices, in accordance with standard procedures
  • Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end-users.
  • Train customers on new devices and technologies
  • Communicate and translate technical information to non-technical end users, maintain
  • communication and monitor incident through resolution
  • Participate in the maintenance, implementation, troubleshooting, and end-user support for applications
  • Review and evaluate new hardware and software products, recommend the implementation of new products
  • Replace equipment that has reached the end of its warranty or lifecycle
  • Create, track, and maintain reports and provide updates to management
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining hardware and software inventory, interact with vendors

Let\'s talk about your skills/expertise:
  • Min 3-5 years industry work experience in a similar role in desktop support
  • Familiarity with multiple computer operating systems, such as Windows, Mac, and Linux operations
  • General knowledge of troubleshooting Internet connectivity, phone systems, network systems, and other technological office equipment
  • Able to create databases and utilize Excel spreadsheets at an advanced level
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both written and verbal plus excellent organizational skills, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent customer service skills and desire to help the company succeed
  • Skilled In Google Workspace or Office 365
  • Knowledge of ESET security and VPN
