Position Description*
  • Taking individual responsibility for resolving internal company issues reported from multiple sources including trouble tickets, phone calls and automated alerts.
  • Managing daily operation of a wide variety of systems including Windows and Mac systems, mobile devices, networking equipment and application support.
  • Resolving critical system issues on a 24a--7 basis, including notification, coordination and dispatch of individuals from various functional groups within the organization.
  • Working closely with internal company employees to ensure the success of daily operations.
  • Initiating new projects and responsibilities and helping to plan for the future of the 2nd Watch.
  • Understanding of Endpoint Security, Endpoint Management, Imaging and deployment tools, patch management, application rollouts and processes.
  • Define procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use.
  • Managing and Administering server backup systems and methodologies.
Required Skills
  • Independent problem-solving, self-directed.
  • Capable of working autonomously but know when to bring in the team to help out.
  • Self-starter focused on business problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to comfortably communicate with both highly technical and non-technical people.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of following and composing process and procedure documentation, capable of understanding complex network and system designs, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management.
  • Proficient in most aspects of operating system administration; for example, installation and configuration of various forms of Windows and Mac operating systems, mail systems, printer systems, fundamentals of security, third-party software.
  • Strong windows server management and working experience around networking/distributed computing environment concepts; ability to configure DHCP, DNS, Windows host networking and local and network based user and group accounts and permissions; understands routing concepts.
  • Solid working knowledge of corporate email infrastructure, Outlook & Office.
  • Solid working knowledge of Server, Laptops, Desktops, and mobile device hardware.
  • Process driven with strong documentation skills.
  • Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal support and guidance.

Desirable Skills*
  • Linux proficiency
  • Basic scripting (ex: PowerShell, Python)
  • Cloud experience (AWS or Azure a plus)
  • Security Certifications a plus (Security+, ISC2, ISACA)
  • Administration of the following toolsets
  • Slack, Zoom, Lucid, Azure Portal, Azure-AD, MDM/MFA/Intune, Confluence, SharePoint
  • Deep understanding of RBAC and Least Priveleged User
  • Solving problems with automation
Background:
  • A minimum 5 years of Desktop support/System Administration
  • BacheloraEUR(TM)s/MasteraEUR(TM)s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
  • Experience in consulting field is highly desirable
