Job Summary
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. This role supports internal staff and/or clients by resolving IT-related problems efficiently and maintaining systems, networks, and devices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first- and second-level technical support (remote and on-site)
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, and IT equipment
Support operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common applications
Manage user accounts, email systems, and access permissions
Monitor system performance and ensure data backup and security compliance
Escalate unresolved issues to vendors or higher-level technical teams
Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and support tickets
Perform routine system updates, patches, and antivirus checks
Provide basic IT training and guidance to users
Support cloud services, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls (if applicable)
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical support roles
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and email systems
Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and network security
Good problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Willingness to work after office hours or on-call when required
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco)
Experience supporting POS systems, CCTV, or IP phones
Working Conditions
On-call / standby support during weekends or after office hours (if required)
Location: Office-based / On-site / (depending on project needs)

Pay: ?30,783.23 - ?55,675.71 per month
