Job Description

: The Network Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization's network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and optimal performance. They are responsible for planning, deploying, and troubleshooting network systems and components to meet business objectives and technological requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices. Develop network architecture plans to meet business needs and scalability requirements. 2. Network Security: Implement and maintain network security protocols and measures to safeguard against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats. Configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect network integrity. 3.Network Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, usage, and capacity to identify and other issues. 4.Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network issues, outages, and performance problems in a timely manner. 5.Network Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures. 6.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT professionals, system administrators, and software developers to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications. 7.Change Management and Compliance: Follow change management processes and protocols to implement network changes and updates in a controlled manner. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and security standards. 8.Vendor Management: Collaborate with network equipment vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and timely delivery of products and services. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent. - Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. - Proficiency in network routing and switching technologies, including Sophos firewall and Wi-Fi other leading vendors. - Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. - Effective communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) are a plus. - Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
