Overview of the Role:
The candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of IT infrastructure and services within their designated region. This role involves guiding, supervising, and monitoring all team members in the execution of IT services
Areas of Responsibility:
Procurement & Deployment of IT Assets:
Procure IT assets in accordance with established needs, budget allocations, approvals, and purchase orders, in consultation with the reporting manager, Operations, and Admin Departments.
Asset Record Maintenance:
Allocate IT assets to individual staff members based on their specific needs and requirements within the office environment.
Track and tag IT assets, including laptops, mobile phones, CPUs, projectors, tablets etc.
Maintain comprehensive records of IT assets and mobile devices in both stock registers and the central database.
Ensure the maintenance of all office assets.
Formulate and document strategies and plans for the office's IT structure (internet, printer, backup, data confidentiality of backed-up data) in line with IT Policy and received instructions.
Oversee the maintenance of office data backups on servers/external storage as per policy and guidelines.
Asset Maintenance:
Identify and establish liaisons with reliable, authorized vendors for the maintenance of IT equipment.
Facilitate the repair of equipment with the assigned vendor.
Safeguard IT assets within the office, including standby IT equipment such as mobile phones and tablets, through proper storage and record-keeping.
Ensure the complete installation of applications and software (Google Workspace, MS Office, Outlook, and other applications as requested).
Application Management:
Ensure timely submission various reports on a monthly basis.
Maintain and regularly update the user database on the application.
Provide training to the end user on the application adoption
Provide support for PMS application installation, troubleshooting, and activity in both offline and online modes.
Manage the creation and deletion of IDs for various applications upon request.
Reporting:
Ensure timely and accurate submission of regular IT vertical reports, including Monthly reports, Asset details, Backup details, Antivirus status, Action Plans, and daily report updates on Google Sheets.
Provide support to all districts for IT functions.
Prepare reports on functional processes and status as instructed by the functional head.
Prepare for monthly meetings and provide relevant data in a timely manner.
Other Support Functions:
Conduct school visits to track and monitor the usage of IT equipment in conjunction with HR/Admin personnel.
Collaborate with HR/Admin Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the creation and closure of email IDs based on resignations/new joiners.
Undertake field visits to provide hands-on support to users for mobile tracking and application usage.
Provide temporary support to other regional IT functions as required.
Training & Induction:
Conduct training sessions for staff on the effective handling of mobile devices, applications, and laptops.
Provide training for IT assistants.
Offer regular hands-on guidance to staff on using IT assets as and when required.
Deliver IT induction to new joiners.
Preferred Qualifications:
A graduate degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical certification in a related field
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in managing IT Services is preferred.
Proficient knowledge of computer hardware, networking and applications.
Strong knowledge of mobile device troubleshooting.
Good understanding of management inventory management, and vendor management.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
