It Support Executive – Web Hosting

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Technical Support Executive to assist our web hosting customers with day-to-day technical queries. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with basic technical knowledgewho are keen to build a career in web hosting and server support.

You will receive hands-on training and guidance from senior team members while working on real-world hosting issues. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong communication skills matter more than prior experience.

Key Responsibilities



Customer Support & Communication



Provide first-level technical support to customers via Live Chat, Email, Phone, and Ticketing System. Assist customers in resolving common hosting-related queries in a friendly, patient, and professional manner. Understand customer issues and communicate solutions clearly, even to non-technical users. Update and maintain proper notes, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting



Learn to diagnose and resolve common web hosting issues such as: Website access errors and basic server or application issues. Email setup and usage (SMTP, POP3, IMAP). FTP/SFTP access and file uploads. Domain pointing, DNS settings, and propagation basics. SSL certificate installation and common SSL errors. Assist customers with account setup, configuration, and basic migrations. Perform basic server-related checks under supervision (primarily Linux-based). Escalate advanced or unresolved issues to senior engineers following defined processes.

Product Knowledge & Learning



Learn and work with web hosting control panels such as cPanel and Plesk. Assist customers with: Creating and managing email accounts. Managing domains and sub-domains. Using File Manager and taking backups. Basic database access using phpMyAdmin. Continuously learn about hosting technologies, tools, and company services through training and daily exposure.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in IT, technical support, or a related field. Basic understanding of web technologies such as: Domains and DNS Web hosting concepts Email and FTP basics Basic familiarity with Linux environments is preferred (training will be provided). Willingness to learn control panels like cPanel and Plesk. Good written and verbal communication skills. Logical thinking and problem-solving mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple queries. Positive attitude, reliability, and customer-first approach.

Good to Have

(Not Mandatory)

Basic knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms. Exposure to ticketing systems such as WHMCS, Freshdesk, or Zendesk. Understanding of PHP, HTML, or basic scripting. Internship or academic projects related to web hosting, servers, or IT support.
