Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. This role is essential in maintaining system uptime, resolving support tickets, and contributing to continuous IT improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to employees via in-person, phone, email, or remote tools.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices).
Troubleshoot issues related to Windows, macOS, Office 365, networking, and other enterprise applications.
Support user account management in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other platforms.
Monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, backups, and security software.
Document incidents, solutions, and system changes in the helpdesk/ticketing system.
Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departing employees.
Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with other IT staff on projects, system upgrades, and deployments.
Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements or long-term solutions.
Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience (1-3+ years) in an IT support/helpdesk or similar technical role.
Solid understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, networking fundamentals, and PC hardware.
Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, VPN, remote desktop tools, and antivirus solutions.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours or be on call.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Fresh service).
Knowledge of macOS, Linux, or scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
Exposure to cloud services, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), or ITIL practices.
