Install, configure, and maintain hospital network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Manage wired and wireless connectivity for all hospital departments, wards, labs, and administrative units.
Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
Troubleshoot network issues promptly and coordinate with vendors for support if needed.
2. Security & Compliance
Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and antivirus protection to safeguard patient and hospital data.
Ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards (like HIPAA / NABH / ISO 27001 if applicable).
Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and security audits.
3. Server & Systems Support
Support networked servers (Windows/Linux), including DHCP, DNS, and file-sharing services.
Maintain Active Directory user access and permissions.
Manage backup and recovery procedures for critical systems.
4. Coordination & Support
Work closely with Biomedical Engineering and HIS/EMR software teams to ensure seamless data connectivity for medical equipment and applications.
Provide end-user technical support related to network or connectivity issues.
Document network diagrams, IP allocation, and maintenance logs.
5. Continuous Improvement
Research and recommend upgrades, patches, and new technologies to enhance system performance.
Participate in hospital IT projects such as new building network setup or system migration.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in IT networking or system administration (hospital or healthcare experience preferred).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, and network security protocols.
Experience with Cisco / HP / Fortinet / Mikrotik network devices.
Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud networking concepts.
Understanding of hospital systems (HIS, PACS, LIS) is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 hospital environment.
Strong documentation and teamwork capabilities.
