Position Overview



We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Specialist to provide exceptional technical assistance to our team. This role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and delivering excellent customer service to end-users.

Key Responsibilities



Technical Support

: Provide timely and effective support to end-users via phone, email, or in person, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.

System Maintenance

: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, utilising problem-solving skills and IT knowledge.

User Account Management

: Create, modify, and manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights.

Documentation

: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and user interactions in the IT ticketing system.

System Updates

: Assist in applying software updates, security patches, and system upgrades to ensure systems are up to date.

Network Connectivity

: Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and assist users with connectivity-related issues.

Qualifications



Education

: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Communication Skills

: Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with users in a professional and friendly manner.

Problem-Solving Skills

: Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Remote Support Tools

: Familiarity with remote support tools for assisting users remotely.

Documentation Skills

: Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation of technical interactions.

Adaptability

: Ability to adapt to changing technological environments and learn new tools and techniques.

Teamwork

: Willingness to collaborate with other IT team members to provide effective solutions.

Preferred Certifications



CompTIA A+ Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
