We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role you will be :

  • Act as a point of escalation for IT Service Management, Business Service Owners, and 1st Line of Defense functions.
  • Engage all relevant stakeholders to maintain visibility on their service availability, operability metrics, risk appetite, incidents, and control effectiveness.
  • Manage activities focused on the deployment of projects from requirements gathering, system design, quality assurance, cost control and implementation planning activities as well as post implementation activities.
  • Scope Management, Strategic thinking - to see a big picture and to understand if the project fits in with the organizational goals. Determine how the project impacts other business areas/projects.
  • Service Owners are responsible for understanding the Key Control requirements of the processes supporting their services inc. but not limited to, Service Continuity, Capacity Management, Cyber Security, Access Control, Disaster Recovery, Performance Monitoring, and Configuration Management.
  • Ensure services are accurately recorded in HSBC's Technology Inventories.
  • Manage the day-to-day capacity and performance of the service. Conduct regular reviews of the metrics captured and identify potential areas of constraint. Work with ITID to plan the shared infrastructure by providing updates of critical changes and growth figures.
  • As roles demands, service management, the candidate will have to connect with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to manage the service and software to the latest version.
  • Produce, review and approval of project and documentation in line with HSBC methodologies.
  • Document technical specifications, user guides, and support materials.
  • The candidate must have good technical knowledge on on-prem and cloud platforms (Hadoop, Linux, windows ,Server ,hardware).
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Service Management experience or similar role
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Engage all relevant stakeholders to maintain visibility on their service availability, operability metrics, risk appetite, incidents, and control effectiveness.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure consistency and continuously improve service management process execution. Provide guidance and help to teams in relation to service management process governance and adherence.
  • Service Owners are responsible for understanding the Key Control requirements of the processes supporting their services inc. but not limited to, Service Continuity, Capacity Management, Cyber Security, Access Control, Disaster Recovery, Performance Monitoring, and Configuration Management.
  • Ability to prioritize often competing demands whilst delivering to a high standard.
  • Experience working on the Hadoop, Linux, and other data platform tools (Airflow, Data Ingestion, Data Lineage ,Data governance
  • Excellent technical abilities, leadership, decision making, strong communication skills, and adaptability to new technology
  • Support of an IT Service and reply to queries of stake holders from various business units and related third parties to define and document business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives, including customer/user facing products, content management systems, and business information systems.
  • Unix and Control M knowledge would be added advantage
  • The candidate must have technical knowledge on on-prem and cloud data platforms
  • Knowledge of automation tool - SONAR / JENKINS/Ansible/Terraform would be added advantage.
  • Document technical specifications, user guides, and support materials.
  • Agile Tools - JIRA, Confluence
