About Bark India
Bark India is the largest operation of Bark outside the UK with more than 50 staff members. Bark India started operations in December 2022 and currently manages Marketing and Sales functions for India, South Africa and Singapore. In addition, there is also customer support team that provides support to India and Global operations.
About the role
You will be managing overall IT and security for Bark. You will be the lead for a team consisting of a UK based IT specialist and yourself.
You will be responsible for the overall IT administration of the company based on Google Workspace and Okta for identity and access management. You will assist the business with vendor management, the administration of various tools and security assessment of new tools. Security is an important part of the role; you will be expected to drive secure practices in the overall IT setup and have experience in driving secure IT practices.
You will be reporting to the Head of Platform Engineering and IT and collaborating closely with engineering functions in driving overall security of the business.
The role is based in India and is a hybrid position (2 days onsite).
Responsibilities
Leading the technical services team
Accountable for IT infrastructure management, administration and security
Endpoint fleet management of employee devices
Development of IT capabilities, internal tooling and automation
Budget management of IT expenditure
Vendor management
Ensuring data security in our IT operations and setup, and tooling we use as a business
Strategic planning of IT capabilities and evolution
Project management of internal automation, security and tooling projects
Required skills and experience
Experience in being able to drive overall IT administration and capabilities for the business autonomously
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in vendor management and budget management
Good project management and time management skills
Previous experience in leading IT teams and good people management skills
Experience supporting MacOS and Windows
Experience with Crowdstrike or similar endpoint security systems
Experience in Google Workspace administration
Experience in network administration and security, with hands-on experience managing firewalls, LAN/WAN, and VPNs
Experience in driving security practices in IT management
Experience with OKTA, Atlassian, Jumpcloud/Kandji (MDM), Zapier, Google Apps Script, Powershell, Big Query, MySQL and Retool are considered a plus
