Position Summary
The general role for the IT Security includes safeguarding an organization's digital assets, and IT physical assets. It shall be noted that Linscan, A PIPECARE group of companies has Subsidiaries around the world and responsibility of the IT Security Engineer is to ensure that all IT tasks and projects are executed according to the plan, IT strategy and policy approved by the Corporate Office. In essence, an IT Security Engineer is a vital defender of an organization's digital infrastructure, working to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats.
Security System Design and Implementation:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect IT infrastructure.
• Configuring and managing security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, etc.).
• Planning and implementing security upgrades.

Vulnerability Management:

• Monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and threats.
• Conducting regular security assessments and audits.
• Performing penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
• Continuously monitor IT infrastructure and software environments for vulnerabilities, unauthorized access attempts, and other security threats using advanced security tools and protocols.
• Implement strict access controls by restricting shared folder access and permissions based on user roles.
• Maintain continuous video surveillance of critical areas to deter and detect physical security breaches and ensure a secure working environment.
• Introduction and Enforcement of New Security Measures aiming to restrict unauthorized photography of tools, and controlling the sharing of sensitive data through mobile devices and communication platforms such as WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, etc. to mitigate data leakage risks and enhance the overall information security posture.

Incident Response:

• Configure and maintain automated alerting systems to promptly detect irregularities or deviations from security policies.
• Define and maintain a list of personnel authorized to conduct First Incident Reports (FIRs), and provide them with the necessary training, tools, and system access.
• Lead and coordinate timely response to security incidents and breaches, minimizing impact and ensuring effective resolution.
• Continuously analyze security logs and network traffic to identify suspicious activities and investigate potential threats.
• Develop, implement, and periodically review the incident response plan to ensure preparedness and alignment with evolving threats and compliance requirements.

Policy and Compliance:

• Ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
• Developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Promoting security awareness among employees.
• Enforce policies that limit or disable printing of sensitive documents to prevent unauthorized physical distribution and data leakage.
• Oversee confidentiality measures by facilitating and managing specialized Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) for employees with authorized access to sensitive information

Security Tooling and Technologies:

• Staying up to date with the latest security technologies and trends.
• Creating security tools and processes for scanning, testing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Manage the deployment and use of controlled xe2x80x9cblack boxxe2x80x9d tools to limit exposure of sensitive design information.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Working with other IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all systems.
• Communicating security risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Conducting regular trainings for awareness of personnel

Skills & Experience :

• Strong understanding of network security principles.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
• Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
• Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
• Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
• Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
