Job Summary:
The IT Project Manager will lead and oversee complex technology projects from initiation through closure. This includes defining project scope, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery that meets business objectives and quality standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Initiation
Define Project Scope and Objectives:
Work with stakeholders to clearly define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
Develop Comprehensive Project Plans:
Create detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), timelines, milestones, and resource allocation using appropriate methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

Resource Management:
Identify and secure necessary resources (internal and external), and define roles and responsibilities for the project team.
Budget Management:
Develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are controlled and align with financial goals.
Project Execution & Monitoring
Lead Project Team:
Motivate, mentor, and manage cross-functional project teams, promoting collaboration and accountability.
Monitor Progress:
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., burn-down charts, KPI dashboards).
Risk and Issue Management:
Proactively identify, analyze, and manage potential project risks and dependencies. Develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all project deliverables meet defined quality standards and technical specifications.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, steering committees, and executive leadership.
Change Management:
Manage project scope changes through a formal change request process to maintain control over the project baseline.
Stakeholder Expectations:
Manage and align the expectations of various business and technical stakeholders.
Project Closure
Final Delivery:
Ensure the final product or service is delivered, successfully implemented, and transitioned to the operations/support team.
Project Review:
Conduct post-project evaluations (lessons learned) to document successes and failures, driving continuous improvement in the PMO process.
3. Required Skills and Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience
in managing IT projects (software development, infrastructure, systems implementation, etc.).
Proven experience utilizing
Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
and/or
Waterfall
methodologies.
Technical and Soft Skills
Project Management Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Project Management principles, processes, and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
Certifications (Preferred):
PMP (Project Management Professional) or CSM (Certified ScrumMaster).
Technology Fluency:
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern IT architecture concepts (Cloud, APIs, Databases).
Leadership:
Exceptional leadership, delegation, and team-building skills.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and active listening skills.
Problem-Solving:
