Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Project Coordinator who can effectively bridge the gap between technical development and project coordination. The ideal candidate will support backend development activities while ensuring smooth project execution, timely delivery, and clear communication among stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and track IT project activities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and monitoring backend development tasks. Act as a point of contact between developers, QA, product owners, and other stakeholders. Prepare project documentation, status reports, and meeting notes. Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and escalate issues proactively. Ensure adherence to project processes, timelines, and quality standards.

Backend Development Support:

Contribute to backend development using assigned technologies and frameworks. Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining server-side logic. Work with databases to manage data storage, retrieval, and optimization. Support API development and integration with frontend applications. Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend-related issues.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, PHP, or similar). Experience with RESTful APIs and backend services. Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent). Familiarity with version control systems (Git). Understanding of basic cloud concepts and deployment processes. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Project Coordination Skills:

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). Experience using project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar). Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1-4 years of experience in backend development or IT project coordination. Experience in a coordination or support role is an added advantage. Exposure to DevOps practices or CI/CD pipelines. Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience working in a fast-paced IT or software services environment.
