Job Description

Job Purpose:

To ensure smooth electronic data processing and IT operations across the organization; maintain data integrity, support users, manage hardware/software systems, coordinate IT resources, and ensure that EDP systems support business operations effectively and securely.

Key Responsibilities



1. Data Management & Processing



Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in company databases and ERP systems.

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and version control.

Perform regular audits of data to identify and correct errors.

2. System & Application Maintenance



Support, install, configure and maintain software applications used across departments (e.g., ERP, CRM, MIS).

Monitor performance of applications, implement updates/patches.

Maintain peripheral software like MS Office suite, printing/scanning tools.

3. Hardware & Infrastructure Management



Handle workstation maintenance, server upkeep, network equipment like routers/switches.

Oversee installation and maintenance of peripherals - printers, scanners, CCTV, biometric devices etc.

Ensure backups are taken regularly and disaster recovery procedures are defined and tested.

4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting



Act as first line of support for system/hardware/software issues.

Diagnose, resolve or escalate technical problems to vendors or senior staff as needed.

Assist non-technical staff in using systems effectively.

5. Report Generation & MIS



Prepare periodic (daily / weekly / monthly) reports - data quality reports, system usage, downtime, etc.

Generate MIS (Management Information Systems) reports for management decision-making.

Track key metrics (uptime, error rates, system performance).

6. Security, Compliance & Backup



Implement and monitor data security measures - access controls, password policies, encryption, etc.

Ensure compliance with company policies and any regulatory requirements for data handling.

Manage backup systems; ensure backups are successful and retrievable.

7. Process Improvement & Digitalization



Identify inefficient manual or semi-manual processes; propose, design and implement automation/digital solutions.

Help in implementing new systems or modules required for business growth.

Required Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in information technology / computer science / Electronics OR Diploma in a relevant field; additional certifications are a plus.

2-4 years (or as per your organization's standard) of experience in EDP / IT support / data processing role.

Technical Skills:



Good knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle or whichever your ERP uses).

Experience with ERP / MIS / CRM systems.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, perhaps Power BI or equivalent for reporting).

Familiarity with networking basics (LAN/WAN), routers, switches.

Understanding of hardware components, troubleshooting, peripherals.

Soft Skills:



Strong attention to detail.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Good communication skills; ability to coordinate with non-technical staff.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Gurugram, Haryana: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
