Department Overview

The Strategy, Management and Control function provides the appropriate level of Governance across all CIB IT activities, linking into Governance activities across the BNP Paribas Group Wide IT landscape. The role is to provide both the Business Units and IT Management with the assurance and visibility that IT Development & Operations are executed in a controlled and managed way. The role of the IT Governance function is to direct and control the enterprise in order to achieve the goals by adding value while balancing risk versus return over IT and its processes and delivery.

Position Purpose

The jobholder will be a member of the IT Project Portfolio + Delivery team, responsible for delivering key Coaching, Quality, Learning and Reporting related projects and initiatives in line with Business Need, BNP Paribas Policy, CIB IT Compliance Objectives, and IT delivery priorities.

Supporting Alignment of Entities to Strategy and Roadmaps. Working closely with the Portfolio managers with the Entities

The role is Mumbai based and involves a range of Deployment Planning, Analysis, Coaching Methodology activities. The role will involve close working with the IT delivery Teams, including development and production, and all other key stakeholders across the Global Organisation, to deliver specified outcomes to scope, time, cost and quality. These outcomes include the transformation \xe2\x80\x93 CIB IT wide \xe2\x80\x93 of selected procedures, processes and tools. In addition, collaborating with teams to strengthen existing capabilities within certain functions (Development and Application Production Support), to address identified gaps or known areas of Operational risk.

In addition to the specific responsibilities detailed below, the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate understanding in other areas of Transformation and Organisational Change, including strategies surrounding Process Improvement, IT/Business Alignment, Operational Risk Management, Agile/Scrum Development, and Test Management using automated tools, Service Delivery Management, and Programme/Portfolio Management.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate on the process, skills and tools related to the practical application of the processes used to deliver IT change (e.g. project, programme, and test management)
  • Support/Coach Application Domain Managers, Team Managers, Project Managers, and other IT team members (including Production Support) in implementing applicable standards
  • Provide 1:1 support to Programme and Project Managers in the practical application of the related processes and procedures to the reality of the context of their programme and/or project. Ensure appropriate use of the methodology and related tools.
  • Complete \'Self-Assessment\' and/or related deliverables to track and monitor, with Project and Programme Manager(s), the deployment of applicable methodology such as Agile, waterfall, standards and working practices
  • Experience in Coaching teams/projects on SDLC such Agile, Waterfall, etc.
  • Work collaboratively to provide inputs & feedback to develop a series of learning workshop modules to further support \xe2\x80\x9cDelivering Projects in CIB IT\xe2\x80\x9d taking input throughout from SMEs (Project Management Community and Domain SPOCs)
  • Train/Coach teams in the usage of Tools such as JIRA, Clarity and any other Project / Defect Management Tools
  • Run workshops on methodology related topics, with global stakeholders
  • Deployment of the Governance standards defined at the Organisational level and implement changes to the Quality Management System
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
  • Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge, understanding & experience in Agile coaching, SDLC implementation
  • Certifications such as PSM, PSPO, PMP, Agile Coaching, Quality Assurance, etc will be a plus
  • Experience in communicating with a global audience
  • Advanced Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
  • Experience as a Project Manager or PMO within a structured project environment
  • Experience of Programme / Portfolio Management and using tools such as Power BI Clarity and Business Object
Desired Competencies
  • Experience of building and publishing corporate Methodology assets
  • Experience / qualification in related IT Governance practices and standards e.g. COBIT, ITIL
  • Experience as a Project Manager or PMO within a structured project environment
  • Exposure to Capital Markets applications and technology e.g. Fixed Income, ALM, Treasury, Equities.
  • IT Performance Management / Metrics expertise
