Role Summary & Role Description

This role would provide leadership to overall operational processes, team management, strategic process improvement and management of globally structured technology / business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of approximately 25+ full-time employees and contingent workers who provide technical support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution, for multiple finance & billing applications, including a newer system based on Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) as well as numerous legacy billing systems
  • Closely partner with Application Resiliency Organization (ARO) manager whose team provides L1/L2 support for the billing applications
  • Establish and manage SLA/Metrics for various processes supported by the team
  • Monitor the applications and proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users
  • Understand application process flows and analytics in support of better service level objectives
  • Manage the team through Major Incidents by engaging all necessary parties in a timely manner, creating post mortems, and ensuring closure of every Major Incident
  • Engage with tools and operations teams as needed to address failure patterns and incidents
  • Analyze incidents to look for recurring patterns and take proactive actions to eliminate these patterns and reduce the number of production incidents
  • Communicate across various departments to provide clear and regular updates related to issues
  • Thoroughly document production issues, including workarounds, observations, diagnoses, root causes and action steps.
  • Create and maintain documentation of support processes and procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify areas for automation in order to reduce manual operational work
  • Work with developers and business users to prioritize and plan the implementation of production defect fixes and small enhancements
  • Establish productivity metrics and measurement processes, adopt productivity reporting tools and collaborate/align with corporate productivity programs
  • Create cutover plans for Production releases and coordinate resources needed to execute the plan, including business resources needed for post-release checkout
  • Manage code deployments across all production, testing, and development environments
  • Perform data refreshes from Production to test environments to support testing activities
  • Provide technical support for system issues encountered in test environments
  • Ensure skill development and sufficiency of the Operations Team to deliver on SLAs
Core/Must have skills Leadership Skills
  • The candidate will have 10 + years of leadership experience in the financial or technical domain. Understanding of client billing lifecycle process and technology.
  • Demonstrated experience of leadership roles in the production environments within a fast pace, daily deliverable financial organization.
  • Excellent technical, communication and management skills with expertise in process management and/or reconciliation systems in the financial domain.
  • Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior IT software \\ engineering \\ finance specialists
Core/Must have Technical

Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) product design, Oracle Business Intelligence Tool (OBIEE), Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)

Oracle database, SQL,PL/SQL, Unix / Linux

Working Exp\xc3\xa9rience on ticketing systems \xe2\x80\x93 e.g. Service Now

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Prior experience with implementations of large-scale, financial services billing systems.

Good to have skills

Oracle Financial Cloud (PBCS,FCCS, E-Business Suite, Essbase)
