Job Description

The Network Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and CCTV camera networks. The role involves ensuring reliable connectivity, high performance, and proper documentation of all passive network components across the organization or project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test

fiber optic

and

UTP structured cabling

systems. Perform

CCTV camera installation

, configuration, and troubleshooting (IP and analog systems). Install and manage

network racks, patch panels, faceplates, conduits, and other passive components

. Conduct

site surveys

to assess cabling and networking requirements. Perform

cable management

, labeling, and documentation according to company standards. Test and certify network cables using proper testing tools (e.g., Fluke tester). Maintain and repair cabling infrastructure and perform preventive maintenance. Assist with

network equipment installation

(switches, routers, access points) under the supervision of network engineers. Coordinate with project managers, IT teams, and vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery of network-related projects. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during installation and maintenance work.
