Manage the hospital's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, and communication systems.
Ensure high availability, security, and performance of IT systems.
Oversee installation and configuration of hardware and software.
Health Information Systems:
Manage hospital information systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), PACS, LIS, and other healthcare applications.
Coordinate upgrades, patches, and integration between clinical and non-clinical systems.
Work with clinical teams to customize systems for optimal workflow support.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Implement and enforce data security policies and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR (if applicable), and other relevant standards.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management:
Lead and mentor the IT department, including system administrators, support technicians, and analysts.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and consultants.
Oversee procurement of IT equipment and services.
Support & Training:
Ensure timely IT support for hospital staff across all departments.
Develop and deliver training programs on new technologies and systems.
Maintain documentation for IT systems, policies, and procedures.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute the hospital's IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Analyze emerging technologies and propose solutions to improve care delivery and operations.
Participate in budgeting and forecasting for IT resources.
