As an IT Manager in our Hotel, you will need to participate in the development and implementation of business strategies for IT which are aligned with Merlis overall mission, vision values, and strategies.
Troubleshoots and provides technical support
Trains managers and staff on use of hotel applications
Troubleshoots common problems and infrastructure teams to resolve IT issues
Schedules and shares timing/impact of changes with appropriate hotel staff
Maintains hotel user accounts for PMS, POS & Back office Accounting
Maintains availability and security of networks throughout the hotel
Monitors wireless network for hotel guests and employees.
Keeps networks compliant with corporate guidelines.
Maintains network security
Stays current on technical updates and changes to hotel utilized applications
Attends training and certification updates to hotel applications.
Reviews updates provided by software and hardware vendors
Establishes and maintains IT vendor relationships
Works with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Periodically submit requests for proposals to new and existing vendors for IT related supplies and services
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Mer- Way experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service.
Provides genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis.
Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Adheres to hotel policies and procedures
Keep General Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment.
At all times projects a favorable image of the Hotel to the public.
Actively support and promote Workplace Health and Safety within the work environment.
Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the General Manager or his/her designate
