The IT Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all technology-related activities within the organization. This role ensures the secure and efficient operation of IT systems, manages technical staff, and aligns technology initiatives with business goals.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Operations Management
Oversee daily operation of the company's IT infrastructure (networks, servers, systems, software).
Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability.
Manage hardware and software deployment, maintenance, and upgrades.
2. Security & Risk Management
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and data protection policies.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with relevant IT standards and regulations.
3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Supervise helpdesk/technical support teams.
Resolve escalated IT issues and ensure timely support for employees.
Develop documentation and standard operating procedures.
4. Project & Vendor Management
Plan and manage IT projects such as system migrations, cloud adoption, or new software rollouts.
Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.
5. Strategy & Budgeting
Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
Prepare and manage the IT budget.
Recommend new technology solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
6. Team Leadership
Lead, train, and mentor IT staff.
Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of network administration, cloud platforms, databases, and cybersecurity.
Experience with system administration (Windows, Linux, macOS).
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
