Role Summary

An exciting opportunity exists for an IT Manager to join the newly established Ed-Tech product to develop adaptable and personalized learning for cracking competitive examinations like JEE, NEET, CLAT, and Other competitive examinations in India.

This position is with Q&I (www.qanditoday.com) which is an India Today Group company.

You will take the lead to discover through studying the business segment eco-system, the competition, and other internal channels to create, maintain and communicate the product roadmap and the business requirements (The WHAT) for developing the Thomson Digital Ed-Tech Cloud Native SaaS products. You will be later supported by a Business Analyst in this area of work as your workload increases

It is highly desirable if you come from the Ed-Tech industry and possess a strong pedigree of Tier-I education and professional background.

This role will develop and bring in very exciting personal, professional growth opportunities as the new Ed-Tech venture and products takes shape and makes its impact pan-India

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• :
• Ensure maximum accountability and accuracy for management of technology assets, vendors, software

licensing, and hardware support

• Provide technical expertise and oversee troubleshooting/problem analysis on IT infrastructure issues
• Lead the provision of support for the applications and product teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimized impact of critical incidents
• Oversee the process of providing level 2 and level 3 support to end-users and resolving incidents related to IT infrastructure services
• Oversees the day-to-day support of all production platforms to ensure the high availability, integrity, and

confidentiality of the network, servers, storage, telecommunications services and information

• Lead the scheduling of support backups and restoration of systems, and plan and test disaster recovery for the infrastructure.
• Maintain a disaster recovery plan for IT operations and production systems and coordinate responses to

emergency production issues; resolve conflicting demands from users for service

• Provide technical input and recommendations for contracts, software and related goods and services

needed for technology areas. Negotiate with and direct vendors and contractors, including contract

management

• Performing and monitoring of technical checks, analyzing errors and tracking solutions of errors, planning and performing upgrade and installations tests for assembly and validation

• Monitor the channels through which information flows into and out of an organization\'s information network and providing the infrastructure for protecting an organization from cyber attacks.

• Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
• Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
• Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations.
• Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
• Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Must Have Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• BE/BTech from reputed Institute
• Additional Certifications - CCDP or CCIE are desirable
• Minimum of 10 - 12 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience of design of local area, wide area networks and Cloud integration
• Experience with cloud infrastructure
• Experience building and maintaining VPN networks to support Remote user connectivity including integration into Multi-factor authentication solutions
• Excellent understanding of IP, MPLS, WAN, SDWAN, Wireless networking technologies
• Experience with Cisco switches & routers, Checkpoint NGFW, SDWAN technologies
• Must have experience working in an enterprise Datacenter environment
• Good understanding of networking, virtualization, storage and operating system components
• Ability to work independently or with little supervision. To be able to interact professionally with a diverse group of partners, senior managers, subject matter experts and managing cross-functional projects
• End to end Vendor handling experience
• Work under pressure
