The Data & Analytics IT Manager role is responsible for creating the best team of Data Engineers and Analytics rock stars. He/she with his/her team ensures that the strategic transformation projects are in line with the vision and strategy of D&A. This team will be collaborating with Region Business Analysts and Data Architects to deliver fit-for-purpose Data & Analytics solutions supporting stakeholders across APAC, EMEA and Americas regions. Data domains of focus will be Commercial, Customer Care and Service & Repair. This team works additionally with Global IT Technical Architects and external service providers to ensure data and information models and technologies align with stated architecture strategies and Medtronic\'s standards and delivery capabilities. The D&A IT Manager is a key leader in the identification of risks & opportunities with current data and supporting technical landscape across the Regions, identifying & recommending the implementation of overarching platform strategies, directing initiatives to mitigate risk, and contributing to the technical \'community of practice\' activities (e.g., templates, processes, execution models). This role will serve as a key lead to grow our success of great delivery on time and budget, with the best quality in mind. A DAY IN THE LIFE Recruit and grow the best talent in the market related to Data Engineers and Analytics rock stars Manage delivery of Region D&A projects/initiatives Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments Provides tactical and / or operational leadership and coaching Innovation and change management - transforming the D&A communities towards a data-driven and digital collaboration. Implementation of an agile project culture and new way of working with a high focus on transformation. Organizational development of the division during transformation. Deep involvement of business decision makers in the implementation of transformation projects. Establishment of vertical agile project teams and active collaboration with CoPs/ CoEs/ PODs across the globe to share best practices. Multiplier of a digital mindset. Receives assignments in task and objective oriented terms. Establishes operational plans and implements policies and strategies Decisions impact program schedules, customer satisfaction levels, or allocation of time, material resources, expenditures, and funds Manages budget for the team Strive for continuous improvement and consistency in deliverables. Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations Partner with other IT Managers to analyze: Enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding change requirements. The IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend broad-based solutions for improvement. Data and information management and related technology industry and market trends and determine their potential advantage to or impact on the enterprise. Works with and advises stakeholders, project teams, and peers in areas assigned on project needs and design. Understand and use standard tools, processes, designs, and methodologies for project management, documentation, system development, and implementation. Partner with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to ensure alignment and execution of plans with project deliveries. Ensure Medtronic\'s systems and information are protected in accordance with Medtronic\'s Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices. Other duties & responsibilities aligning to Medtronic\'s culture include: Contribute to and cultivate a culture which promotes the development of business capabilities, process excellence, and shared best practice execution Gather, review, assess and partner to drive new ideas, initiatives and projects through innovation, demand and global portfolio processes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor\'s Engineering or MCA or M.Sc from computers engineering YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 15+ years of IT experience with Master\'s degree SPECIALIZED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience aligned to a relevant architecture discipline (data engineering, analytics development) 3+ years of experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g., applications (SaaS), platforms (PaaS), and infrastructure (IaaS)) within an Enterprise environment 5+ years of experience working with large enterprise systems & solutions Excellent leadership and teamwork skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong collaboration and influencing skills Broad knowledge of data analysis/database design technologies/tools in an operational environment Strong technical acumen, decision making, and influence skills across all levels of an organization Strong communication skills, including with employees, clients, senior management and vendors Solid presentation skills, including the ability to translate data concepts and technical information into business terms (e.g., ability to explain complex technical solutions and architecture strategies to non-technical resources) Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.) Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients, and vendors Demonstrated ability to work in a global, virtual organization Work experience in the Medical Device Industry, or other regulated industry Ability to mentor and develop business, architecture, and technical resources Able to work independently as well as cooperatively ABOUT MEDTRONIC Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
