Job Overview



A Hospital IT Manager oversees a healthcare facility's information technology operations, which includes managing IT staff, infrastructure, and security, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and overseeing the implementation of new technologies and systems like Electronic Health Records (EHRs)

Key Responsibilities:



IT Operations Management:

Oversee the daily functioning of all IT systems, ensuring high availability and performance, and providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.

Staff and Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and train the IT team, including hiring and performance management.

Policy & Procedure Development:

Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

Technology Implementation:

Plan, implement, and manage system upgrades, new technologies, and projects, such as EHR systems and medical device integration.

Security & Compliance:

Implement and maintain security measures to protect patient data and hospital systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.

Budget & Vendor Management:

Prepare and manage the IT budget, and oversee relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute IT strategies, creating roadmaps for future growth and innovation within the hospital.

Collaboration:

Work closely with clinical and administrative departments to understand their needs and provide appropriate technology solutions and support.

Disaster Recovery:

Coordinate and maintain disaster recovery and data backup processes to ensure business continuity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Education:

A background in information technology or a related field, often with a bachelor's or master's degree.

Experience:

Prior experience in IT management, preferably within the healthcare sector.

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of healthcare-specific technologies, including EHR systems, medical devices, and network infrastructure.

Regulatory Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations, particularly HIPAA.

Leadership & Communication:

Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex IT issues.

Strategic Thinking:

Ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with the hospital's overall goals.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹800,000.00 per year
