About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Manager to oversee company-wide IT asset management, end-user device procurement, service desk operations, and lifecycle management of employee technology equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring all employees are equipped with the right tools, supported efficiently, and compliant with company IT policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Management & Procurement
Manage procurement, inventory, deployment, and return of laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, including ownership, location, condition, and warranty status.
Evaluate vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and timely hardware and software acquisition.
Establish and maintain relationships with IT suppliers, couriers, and service providers.
Device Deployment & Logistics
Coordinate device preparation, imaging, and configuration for new hires and replacement requests.
Oversee the packaging and shipping of laptops and accessories to remote employees or offices.
Ensure timely retrieval of assets from offboarded employees.
IT Service Desk Management
Lead the IT support team to provide responsive and high-quality technical support to internal users.
Establish and maintain SLAs for service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Analyze support trends and implement process improvements to enhance support efficiency.
Operational Excellence & Security
Ensure all assets are compliant with company IT and security policies, including encryption, antivirus, and access control.
Collaborate with Security and HR teams during onboarding and offboarding processes.
Implement regular audits and compliance checks on hardware and software assets.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation on IT procedures, inventory systems, and support workflows.
Generate regular reports on asset utilization, support performance, procurement status, and compliance metrics.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in IT operations, asset management, or IT support, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows, macOS, and MDM tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Kandji).
Experience managing IT inventory systems and helpdesk platforms (e.g., Jira Service Desk, Freshservice).
Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and team leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
