Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cutover Manager to lead end-to-end planning and execution of technology transitions -- including deployments, upgrades, downgrades, decommissions, and environment shifts -- across complex retail IT ecosystems.
The role requires a strong blend of technical coordination, meticulous planning, and stakeholder management, ensuring seamless cutovers with minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive Cutover Plans covering all pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities across environments (Test, UAT, Production).
• Coordinate and govern all technical and functional streams (Infrastructure, Application, Data, Integration, Network, Business) to ensure cutover readiness.
• Plan and track dependencies between multiple programs (new deployments, upgrades, decompositions, or decommissions).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Release, Deployment, Change, and Business Operations) to ensure readiness and risk mitigation.
• Lead Go/No-Go, Release Readiness, and Post Go-Live review sessions; ensure stakeholder alignment and approval for transitions.
• Prepare fallback and contingency plans for critical transitions and ensure rollback strategies are validated.
• Support environment strategy and data migration readiness for smooth transition during application go-lives.
• Monitor real-time cutover execution and report progress, issues, and resolution plans to senior leadership.

Required & Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in IT Program/Project Delivery, in Cutover for large-scale enterprise programs.
• Proven track record managing end-to-end technology transitions (deployments, migrations, decompositions, decommissions, lift-shift).
• Excellent planning and scheduling skills using MS Excel, MS Project, or equivalent planning tools.
• Proficiency in collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Miro, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills across business and IT functions.
• Experience working in change-driven transformation programs with multiple parallel workstreams.

Desirable Skills

• Prior experience with SAP, e-commerce specific tool, or other enterprise-grade retail systems.
• Understanding of cloud migration, microservices, and decommissioning strategies.
• Ability to work under pressure during major go-lives and time-critical transitions.
