Responsible for day to day operations of the Unified L1 service for the business unit and is accountable to Head of Unified L1 Service Management for service quality and levels. The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for monitoring and managing the successful delivery of the Unified L1 service, working with the BUs and Vendor to ensure that they are structured appropriately to deliver both direct and indirect business benefits. In order to achieve such benefits, this role requires a high level of change management experience, including challenging, inspiring and leading the Vendor team, including managing senior stakeholders. The role also requires focus on IT governance, risk assessment, controls assurance, risk tracking/reporting and audit liaison. The individual should be able to work with others within the GTSM-GTIS organisations, with the end goal of improving the L1 services that are delivered. Hybrid Working BUK & BX - All locations We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\'re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date. What will you be doing Resolves and acts as a L1 front face during major incidents and fluently applies escalation and notification procedures for incidents to senior stakeholders within BU Manage Vendor risks and controls, ensuring regular reviews with BU leads to agree continued management of mitigating controls or the development of a risk eradication plan Plan, communicate and coordinate service events which have a service or SLA impact, owning the communication plan to senior business stakeholders where and when appropriate. People Management - Act as mentor to Vendor teams and support analysts, assisting them to deliver a quality service to our business units and to ensure the team has the necessary tools/training/support to fulfil their role effectively. Will be required to act as an escalation point during out of office hours / weekends / holidays What we\'re looking for: Proven experience in an operational / customer services area including complex problem resolution Highly driven, dynamic, action oriented Experienced with risk and control environments, industry standards and technology regulation Good understanding of Performance Management/Development of teams, including experience of managing Discipline and Grievance, Sickness and Absenteeism Excellent communication skills - written and verbal dealing with various stakeholders including Senior Management Strong problem solving, decision making skills and analytical ability Interpersonal skills - listening, verbal, written communication, as well as presentation skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Skills that will help you in the role: Strong experience in managing or leading large support teams & working within an ITIL Environment (Essential) Leading a virtual Vendor team (30+) in managed service model and vendor management experience is a plus A Service orientated mind-set and history of delivering solutions to promote best in class customer experience Excellent data management skills - ability to extract relevant data, derive insights and form business cases based on benefits analysis Can facilitate a culture of service improvement and automation Prior complex IT \'carve-out\' experience is a plus Prior technical expertise in managing at least one of core infrastructure areas like Networks / Virtualization / Database / Unix / Windows / Storage etc. Where will you be working Pune Be More at Barclays At Barclays, each day is about being more - as a professional, and as a person. \'Be More @ Barclays\' represents our core promise to all current and future employees.
