The IT In-charge will be responsible for the seamless operation, maintenance, and support of all IT systems and equipment within the academy. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing school IT infrastructure and a solid understanding of both hardware and software. This role is critical in ensuring that technology is a reliable and effective tool for teaching, learning, and administration.
Responsibilities:
Hardware Management & Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain all computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, servers, and networking devices.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of all equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate with external vendors for repairs when necessary.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware and peripherals.
Software Management & Support:
Install, update, and manage all software applications, operating systems, and licenses.
Provide technical support to students, teachers, and administrative staff for software-related issues.
Manage and maintain the school's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, including user access, data integrity, and module support.
Ensure all systems are protected with up-to-date antivirus and security software.
Network & Security Management:
Manage the school's local area network (LAN) and Wi-Fi network.
Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect school data and systems from unauthorized access or cyber threats.
Manage user accounts and access permissions.
Website & Server Management:
Maintain and update the school's official website.
Manage school servers and data backups to prevent data loss.
User Training & Support:
Provide training and technical support to staff on new software, hardware, and IT policies.
Create and maintain a help desk system to efficiently track and resolve IT issues.
Procurement & Budgeting:
Assist in the procurement of new IT hardware and software.
Provide input for the annual IT budget.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation
in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (essential).
Experience:
Minimum
3 years of work experience
in a similar role.
Prior experience managing the
IT infrastructure of a school is highly preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Experience with
Windows and Linux operating systems
.
Knowledge of network security and data management.
Familiarity with school ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Salary:
Up to INR 25,000/- per month. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
