This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician in India.
As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you will be a critical point of contact for supporting end-users, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining operational efficiency across IT systems. You will provide support via multiple channels, including email, phone, and remote tools, assisting employees with hardware, software, and network-related concerns. This role offers exposure to diverse technologies, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the opportunity to improve IT processes through documentation, automation, and proactive problem-solving. You will help ensure systems run smoothly, support business continuity, and contribute to a positive technology experience for employees in a hybrid work environment.
Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees for software, hardware, and network-related issues via phone, chat, or in-person.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy equipment for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain and update helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with service standards.
  • Re-image and redeploy laptops and desktops, ensuring proper installation of operating systems and standard software.
  • Document procedures, create technical guides, and maintain an IT knowledge base.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve IT issues and improve support processes.
  • Utilize scripting and automation to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience in IT support operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, MacOS, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, and other business software.
  • Familiarity with IT fundamentals including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, PCI) is a plus.
  • IT certifications and experience in SaaS support environments are advantageous.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace for remote support tasks.
