Role Overview

The IT Head - Maintenance plays a crucial behind-the-scenes role in keeping the

hotel running smoothly every single day.

From guest room systems to back-office software, and from electrical equipment to network connectivity, this position ensures that technology and maintenance work quietly, efficiently, and reliably.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting teams, and ensuring guests never feel the impact of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance and smooth operation of all hotel electrical and

electronic equipment, including UPS systems, power panels, CCTV, access control, door locks, EPABX, televisions,

and

room automation systems.

Troubleshoot

and

maintain hotel IT

and

software systems, such as Property Management Systems (PMS), POS systems, accounting software, channel managers,

and

internal hotel applications.

Ensure

uninterrupted functioning of network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, routers, switches, servers

, and

guest internet services.

Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance for electrical systems

and

IT hardware to avoid downtime during peak hotel operations.

Support hotel departments promptly with technical issues, always keeping guest comfort

and

service continuity in mind.

Maintain proper data backup, antivirus protection, cybersecurity measures

, and

system updates.

Liaise with vendors, AMC providers, and service partners for repairs, upgrades,

and new

installations.

Keep accurate records of IT assets, electrical equipment

, and

maintenance schedules.

Train and guide hotel staff on basic system usage

and

safe handling of equipment.

Handle emergency breakdowns calmly and efficiently, even during odd hours

or

high-occupancy periods.

Skills & Competencies

Strong hands-on

knowledge of hotel electrical equipment maintenance, power backup systems

, and

low-voltage systems.

Excellent troubleshooting skills in

hotel-specific software such as PMS, POS, billing, inventory,

and

reporting systems.

Good understanding of

networking, hardware,

and

integrated hotel technologies.

Ability to

balance technical expertise with a service-oriented mindset, ensuring guests

and

staff feel supported.

Clear communication skills to

explain technical matters in a simple

and

patient manner.

Strong leadership, accountability, and team-coordination abilities.

Proactive attitude with attention

to detail and

safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Electronics

, or

Electrical Engineering.

6-8 years of experience

, preferably in the

hotel or hospitality industry.

Prior experience managing

both IT systems and electrical maintenance

will be a strong advantage.
