The IT Executive will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, managing IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations of systems and networks, and maintaining accurate IT documentation. The role requires strong hands-on experience in desktop support, networking, server administration, hardware maintenance, and vendor coordination.
Roles & Responsibilities
Desktop & Application Support
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot Windows/Linux operating systems and user applications.
Perform OS updates, patches, and system hardening.
Provide onsite and remote support to employees for software and hardware issues.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement and installations.
Server Administration
Monitor and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers.
Perform routine server maintenance and server room monitoring.
Execute and validate daily data backups and restore when required.
Support virtualization environments if applicable.
Network Administration
Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and network cabling.
Monitor ISP links and troubleshoot ILL/MPLS/broadband issues.
Manage firewall rules, VPN connections, and basic network security operations.
Liaise with service providers to resolve network issues.
Hardware & Infrastructure Support
Maintain and troubleshoot IT hardware including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, UPS, biometric devices, and CCTV systems.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
Coordinate with vendors for repairs, replacements, and AMC services.
Documentation & Asset Management
Maintain updated IT asset inventory (hardware & software).
Document IT activities, network configurations, and troubleshooting logs.
Track asset commissioning and decommissioning with proper records.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, networking, and IT hardware.
Experience in troubleshooting desktops, servers, and network devices.
Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and backup systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and customer support skills.
Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams effectively.
