The IT Executive is responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, providing technical support to internal users, managing hardware and software systems, and ensuring the organization's technology infrastructure runs efficiently. This role supports the implementation of IT policies, coordinates with vendors, and assists in maintaining cybersecurity and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Operations & Support
Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, networks, and software applications.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and email configurations.
2. Systems & Network Management
Monitor network performance, connectivity issues, and system uptime.
Support installation and configuration of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
Maintain backup systems and ensure data restoration capabilities.
Assist in managing servers, cloud environments, and storage systems.
3. IT Asset & Vendor Management
Maintain IT inventory records for hardware and software assets.
Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support.
Track software licenses and ensure compliance.
4. Security & Compliance
Implement and follow IT security policies and best practices.
Assist in monitoring antivirus, firewalls, and security alerts.
Support data protection, access control, and compliance initiatives.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
Log and track IT support requests using a ticketing system.
Provide regular reports on IT activities, issues, and system performance.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Windows/MacOS/Linux environments.
Experience troubleshooting hardware, networks, and applications.
Understanding of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic networking concepts.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar platforms.
Good problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
1-4 years of experience in IT support or IT operations.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
