Summary of Job Role:

The IT Executive is responsible for managing and maintaining the respective school's IT infrastructure, providing timely technical support, ensuring cybersecurity and data protection compliance, and supporting digital learning technologies. The role ensures smooth functioning of academic and administrative systems, networks, and IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure Management

Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, Wi-Fi, firewalls, storage, CCTV, biometrics, and IT hardware.

Manage Office 365, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Azure AD.

Regularly monitor system performance, uptime, network stability, and troubleshoot issues.

Responsible to maintain IT inventory of computers, peripherals, and software licenses.

Schedule. Manage and implement backups, disaster recovery plans, and overall business continuity.

Evaluate and recommend suitable hardware, software, and infrastructure upgrades.


2. Technical Support & Helpdesk Management

Ensure to provide Level 1-3 support to staff for hardware, software, network, ERP, and email issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues via phone, in person, or remotely, as per situation and requirements.

Responsible for creating and maintaining IT SOPs, helpdesk workflows, and user guides.

Ensure to set up new user accounts, profiles, and assist with password issues related to Microsoft Office/ERPs or any new software introduced to the staff members

Ensure effective support for the Biometric Time & Attendance Management System and door access control systems.
3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection (DPDP Act Compliance)

Responsible for implementing cybersecurity measures: firewalls, antivirus, patching, access control, and spam filtering.

Ensure compliance with data privacy requirements, including consent, access logs, and retention policies.

Ensure secure handling of student records, CCTV data, and staff information.

Responsible to conduct staff training on cybersecurity and safe digital practices.


4. EdTech & Academic Technology Support

Responsible for ensuring LMS/ERP platforms, digital classrooms, smart boards, tablets, and learning apps function effectively and properly without lags.

Ensure smooth facilitation of online assessments, virtual learning tools, and classroom technology usage.

Provide expertise and support to education leaders on remote learning and e-learning initiatives.

Develop and implement technology training plans for staff and students, when necessary.


5. Vendor & Project Management

Coordinate with IT vendors, AMC providers, ISP partners, and cloud service providers, based on requirements.

Oversee IT procurement, budgeting, and vendor performance monitoring

Lead implementation of IT projects (network upgrades, cloud migration, security enhancements).
6. Documentation & Reporting

Responsible for maintaining IT policies, logs, network diagrams, and configuration records.

Responsible for preparing monthly IT performance and service reports.

Responsible for tracking incidents, breaches, user requests, and audit findings.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in Windows/Linux systems, AD, DNS, DHCP, firewall management, and networking.

Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Server, SQL, cloud platforms (M365/AWS/Google Workspace), backup systems, and virtualization.

Knowledge of CCTV, biometrics, IoT devices, VoIP phone systems, and classroom AV technology.

Experience with remote desktop applications, helpdesk systems, and education technologies.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in IT administration, technical support, or IT leadership.

Certifications preferred: Microsoft Technologies, Network+, Security+.

Experience working in a school environment or with education technologies is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
