Job Description

An IT Executive in a hotel is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting all technology systems to ensure smooth and secure hotel operations for both staff and guests. The role involves a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving, and vendor coordination within the unique hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management:

Oversee and maintain the entire IT infrastructure, including networks (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi), servers, workstations, printers, and hardware.

System Support:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all hotel-specific software, such as Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, and keycard systems.

Guest Services:

Assist with guest IT requirements and ensure the smooth functioning of guest-facing technology like in-room entertainment and internet access.

Security & Compliance:

Implement and monitor IT security policies, ensure all systems have up-to-date anti-virus protection, manage data backups and disaster recovery processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards like PCI.

Vendor Coordination:

Manage relationships and coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers for various systems and support services.

Inventory & Documentation:

Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all hardware and software licenses, and create and update detailed documentation on IT procedures and system configurations.

Project Management:

Assist with or manage IT-related projects, including new system installations or property renovations.

Training:

Train hotel staff on the proper use of software and IT systems to maximize efficiency.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.

Technical Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of various computer systems, network security, and Microsoft Office 365/Exchange environments. Certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft) are often a plus.

Experience:

Prior experience in an IT support or management role, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry, is highly valued.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical staff and guests. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. A commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.

Pay: ?22,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
