Job Description

The IT Executive is responsible for maintaining the hotel's IT systems and networks to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role supports day-to-day IT operations, assists with system upgrades, and resolves technical issues related to hotel applications such as the Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), internet connectivity, and other IT-related hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide daily technical support to hotel staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Maintain and troubleshoot hotel systems including PMS, POS, back-office systems, Wi-Fi infrastructure, IPTV, and VoIP. Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN networks, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and CCTV systems. Ensure data security, backup procedures, and recovery protocols are in place and functioning. Coordinate with external IT vendors for software licenses, system upgrades, and hardware maintenance. Support the installation and configuration of new software and hardware. Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment and licenses. Provide IT orientation and basic training to new staff. Ensure compliance with hotel IT policies and cybersecurity best practices. Document incidents, issues, and resolutions accurately in IT support logs. Stay updated on the latest technologies and recommend improvements as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Familiarity with hotel systems like Opera, IDS, MICROS, or similar PMS/POS systems is an advantage. Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, networking, and server management. Understanding of cybersecurity practices and data privacy regulations. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:



On-site role with rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. May be required to be on call for emergency IT support.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ?35,000.00 per month
