Core Responsibilities of Business Analyst for SAP PS


The SAP PS Business Analyst role at L&T Heavy Engineering is embedded within the broader SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative.


Job description:


1. Project Systems Configuration & Integration

Configure SAP PS modules to support Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and asset-intensive project models Integrate PS with FICO, MM, and SD modules to ensure seamless project accounting, procurement, and billing

2. Process Mapping & Fitment

Participate in solution fitment workshops to align SAP PS functionalities with L&T's heavy engineering workflows Map business processes such as WBS creation, network activities, milestone billing, and cost planning

3. Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners (e.g., EY, CIT, SAP) to gather requirements and validate configurations Support change management and training efforts for project teams

Desired Skills & Experience

5+ years of SAP PS experience, preferably in S/4HANA environments Strong understanding of project structuring, cost planning, budgeting, and settlement processes. Experience in ETO models, manufacturing, and engineering domains
* Ability to work in cross-functional teams and support integration testing and data migration.
