Job Description

Key Responsibilities

:

IT Support

: Provide technical support to staff, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure timely resolution of IT-related problems.

System Maintenance

: Monitor and maintain the performance of computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure operational efficiency.

Software Management

: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications and tools.

Network Management

: Support network infrastructure (wired and wireless), including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring connectivity and security.

Security Management

: Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption methods.

Backup & Recovery

: Regularly monitor and ensure data backups are completed, as well as assist in data recovery processes as required.

Hardware Maintenance

: Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware components, including PCs, servers, printers, and peripherals.

Documentation

: Create and maintain accurate documentation for IT systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

User Training

: Provide training to employees on software, systems, and IT security best practices.

Collaboration

: Work closely with the IT Manager to identify system upgrades, resolve network issues, and contribute to IT projects.

Skills & Qualifications

:

Experience

: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT support or related roles.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. Hands-on experience with networking, routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues and resolving them efficiently. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and virtual environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations.

Certifications

(preferred but not required): CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Soft Skills

:

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects. Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
