Key responsibilities
Strategic planning and leadership:
Develop and implement IT strategies, set IT goals, and align technology with business objectives. Manage and mentor IT staff, overseeing their performance and training.
IT infrastructure management:
Oversee the maintenance, installation, and configuration of all hardware, software, and network systems. Monitor system performance and ensure operational efficiency.
Data security and compliance:
Implement and enforce security policies to protect data from threats. Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage data backups to prevent data loss.
Project management:
Lead and manage IT projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to ensure projects meet business needs.
Budget and vendor management:
Manage the IT budget, forecast needs, and recommend upgrades or new systems. Manage relationships with external vendors for hardware, software, and services.
Technical support:
Provide end-user support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Respond to IT-related queries and manage helpdesk support.
Innovation and reporting:
Stay current with emerging technology trends and recommend new technologies to improve business operations. Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and reporting.
