The Senior IT Engineer provides technical expertise, analysis, and development support for application and infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and align with Cummins IT architecture standards. The role involves analyzing, designing, developing, and validating integrations, extensions, and reports for HR systems and custom applications, while ensuring compliance, documentation accuracy, and agile delivery within the HR Technical Powercell.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, design, develop, and validate integrations, extensions, BI Publisher (BIP) reports, and HCM Extracts for HR systems.
Prepare detailed
functional and technical specifications
in collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
Develop and maintain
custom HR applications
, including coding, testing, and deployment using approved tools and frameworks.
Maintain and update system documentation in
JIRA and C&I
, manage
change requests
, and ensure required approvals (Legal, GCCB) are obtained before deployment.
Deliver
solution design
and configuration adhering to Cummins standards, leveraging reusable components to improve delivery efficiency and consistency.
Support and guide technical and infrastructure teams to ensure developed solutions meet business, performance, scalability, and security requirements.
Participate in
design and code reviews

Assist in defining and executing
