To ensure smooth functioning, maintenance, and security of IT infrastructure, systems, and user support across the organization, enabling uninterrupted business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and networking devices.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Ensure uptime and availability of IT systems across departments.
User Support
Provide L1/L2 technical support to employees for system, application, and network issues.
Handle IT service requests and incidents within defined TAT.
Support onboarding/offboarding activities (system access, email IDs, asset allocation).
Network & Security
Maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall, and antivirus systems.
Ensure data security, backups, and adherence to IT security policies.
Assist in audits, compliance, and vulnerability assessments.
Software & Applications
Install, configure, and update operating systems and licensed software.
Coordinate with vendors for ERP, HRMS, editorial, and media-related applications.
Maintain software inventory and license compliance.
Vendor & Asset Management
Coordinate with IT vendors, AMC partners, and service providers.
Maintain IT asset register and lifecycle management.
Support procurement and evaluation of IT hardware/software.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain SOPs, IT documentation, and system logs.
Prepare periodic reports on system health, incidents, and improvements.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic Linux, MS Office, and networking concepts.
Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive environments (print/media deadlines).
Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech (IT/Computer Science) or B.Sc / BCA / Diploma in IT
Relevant IT certifications (CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA) preferred
Experience
2-5 years of experience in IT support / infrastructure management
Experience in media, publishing, or multi-location organizations is an advantage
