Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on and technically proficient IT Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to support and maintain our organization's IT systems, devices, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring system uptime, and maintaining IT and security standards across the organization.



This role is critical to the health of our IT operations and involves day-to-day support of end-user devices, network components, servers, and IT asset lifecycle management.



Key Responsibilities

Device & Hardware Support

Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot issues related to laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals, and servers.

Perform OS and software installations, upgrades, and patch management.

Manage inventory and documentation of all hardware devices.



Network & Connectivity Support

Resolve network-related issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers).

Assist in the configuration and monitoring of firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and other network services.

Work with senior engineers to optimize and maintain network performance and uptime.



Infrastructure & System Maintenance

Support on-premise and cloud-hosted environments (e.g., Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Office 365).

Execute regular system health checks, maintenance tasks, and updates.

Help with backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes.



IT Security & Compliance

Follow IT security best practices and support implementation of endpoint protection tools, patching, and access control policies.

Assist in conducting regular IT audits and vulnerability remediations.

Ensure compliance with internal standards and support external audits where necessary.



IT Operations & Asset Management

Maintain accurate records of all IT assets using asset management tools.

Support hardware/software procurement and lifecycle management.

Monitor support requests via helpdesk/ticketing systems and ensure timely resolution.



Skills:

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

3-5 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure maintenance, or system administration.

Solid understanding of hardware troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, and servers.

Experience with network support: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, switching, and routing.

Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux system administration.

Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, antivirus tools, and backup solutions.

Exposure to tools for IT asset management, remote support, and ticketing (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).



Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High level of responsibility and attention to detail.



Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server/Modern Desktop, or CCNA.

Experience in scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.

Prior involvement in IT projects or infrastructure upgrades.
