Your team

SwIS (Software IT Services) is an infrastructure provisioning team, where software engineers of NXP can request and use virtual machines for software product development. We own and support this virtualization environment - which is a NXP developed automated platform (IaC - Infrastructure as Code) with an agile way of working. You are responsible to support, maintain, develop this environment within NXP to make sure it meets the business requirements and standards.

As IT DevOps Engineer in our Agile DevOps team, you will support NXP R&D IT SwIS, in a pro-active/quality driven environment.

Your responsibilities

• Primarily to work on development topics (tasks related to Ansible / python development)
• Support and troubleshoot Operating systems (Windows/Linux)
• To work on any tasks related to changes, automation decided by Product Owner

• Strong experience with Ansible for Configuration management (Infrastructure as Code)
• Strong experience with scripting (Python - preferably/Bash/Powershell)
• Extensive experience with either Linux (RedHat & Ubuntu ) / Windows based Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2016,2019) troubleshooting/support/administration
• Experience in working with international multi-site teams
• Effective communication skills and fluency in English are a must
• Ability to grasp recent technologies quickly and work independently with minimal supervision

• Exposure to CI/CD (GitLab/Jenkins)
• Experience with AWS (EC2)
• Experience with SaltStack for configuration management
• Exposure to containerization (Docker)
